I studied computer science and art, mashing them together to create a career in the digital VFX industry. I played a small part in making the impossible possible on over 30 films for over 30 years. Films such as Lord of the Rings, Avatar, and quite a few Marvel moives. My IMDb page of credits: link.
Born Canadian, I've had great fun living in 4 different countries working in VFX. I moved to New Zealand in 2000 to work on Lord of the Rings, returning several times until I finally moved here permanently. I feel privileged to live in New Zealand, in sunny Nelson with my British husband Pete.

I'm a writer, gamer, and painter, and am fascinated by humans, weird sea creatures, and the mysteries of the universe. I'm pretty sure I was a dog in another life.

I belong to several writing groups and organisations. Litopia and Spec Fic NZ are two of my favorites public groups. I have some incredible writer friends who not only help make my writing better, but help make my life better.

I'm on the committee for Pastel Artists of New Zealand (PANZ), and I organise a national Pastel Challenge every 2 months. I also run a local social art group once a month.

I hope for a future without inherent violence, when society welcomes all genders and we can freely love and be loved.
